Temporary resident permit, permanent residence permit
Temporary resident permit (TRP) and permanent residence permit (PRP) give undeniable advantages. These documents allow you to live and work in Poland, repeatedly cross the border of the country as well as to travel to other countries of Schengen zone without visa.
Residence permit in Poland is granted only if you have reasonable grounds:
- Temporary residence card (karta czasowego pobytu) – temporary resident permit. It is granted for the period of up to three years. The most common grounds for obtaining temporary resident permit are studying in Polish universities, official employment, setting up a business, doing business or marriage to a citizen of Poland.
- Permanent residence card (karta stalego pobytu) – permanent residence permit, allows you to stay in Poland for up to 10 years. Typically the right for permanent residence permit is granted to those foreigners who have lived in Poland for 5 years or more with temporary residence card or have Pole's Card.
